Topic outline

The ACC Digital Repository is where teaching and learning material of various types is stored and can be searched and retrieved for later use. Storing this digital content in one location enables anyone in the AUB Community to manage and preserve it.

The great advantage of repositories is that they help higher education institutions collect intellectual assets beyond the normal publishing regimes. This ensures a broader range of content to improve the quality of the learning experience across faculties.

In addition to these intellectual assets, this database includes the collection of videos currently present on AUB's educational YouTube channel, AUBatLebanon, which was launched in February 2008. The channel features videotaped lectures and other presentations uploaded at the request of the AUB faculty and administrators. AUB's YouTube channel can be accessed from any location in the world. We recommend that off-campus viewers access the videos directly through YouTube, since it provides for comments on the videos and interaction with other YouTube users. On-campus viewers can access the same material through the ACC Digital Repository without using up their AUB internet quotas. In addition to videos, the repository also provides audio files of the lectures. You can read more about AUB's educational YouTube channel here.
